IDD

no not International Direct Dialling XD but it's International Day of the Deaf, celebrated annually during the last two weeks of September (no, nothing to do with Oktoberfest either, LOL)

We met at around 7am and set up the stalls. Parishioners came and strolled by, many bought: foldable bags with our "Let's Talk" alphabet prints, cake slices, Bro R's Korean beef and sausage slices (wonder how many times Trix might be howling for them as he smelt the aroma from the kitchen to the garden!), tupperware and a performance with congo by Kenny, with the interpreters Siang Ping and Intan on guitars and tambourine :3

The highlight came at 10.45am Mass when we Signed together with the Lectors and Father John Wong. Father John Wong Signed, sang and interpreted with Sign as he concurrently celebrated Mass. We did our Thanksgiving Hymn performance in the centre of the Church with the choir too!

It was truly a day to remember.

Thank you

Father John Paul for allowing us to celebrate this happy occasion and giving us a "home"

Father John Wong for co-ordinating and celebrating Mass - (Signing and speed improved a lot!!! YES!!!)

the announcer of events (due to the original poor Mandarin grammar it's a great relief when the announcer re is fine-tuned it!) of the Mandarin Mass

10.45am Fathers, Lectors, Psalmist and the Choir - thank you for the Alleluia!!! - Altar Boys, Wardens, Communion Ministers. All parishoners who attended this special Mass and Alleluia-ed with us!

other Ministries who came by and supported us in many ways

Parishioners who stopped by, took time to read our posters and supported us in many ways too

J's personal thanks to Zhong Han, Johnson and Sihui for the Mandarin translation (and for tolerating my panick-mode), the bookstore that had everything that was needed one day before the event and mommie for staying up as late as possible for moral support for the preparation for the Mandarin Mass!

INFINITE THANK YOU!!!!
