late post!

Apologies for not updating as the "updater" is still for three weeks (and still is!) but it was a memorable day for us as Mary and Maria were asked to participate in the Offertory, bringing "Bread and Wine" to Fr. John Wong, ofm, for yesterday's All Saints' Day Mass.

Announcement: 7 March 2010

There will be no usual gathering as some of us will be away for a weekend Retreat. Will see you on the 14 March!

Sit with us and approach our friendly Friar Brother Rowland after he has made our own announcements! Volunteer interpreters will be standing by :)

a nice gathering

SCDC has two 'bases'.

Way up north at the Immaculate Heart of Mary (where Father Aloysious FINALLY gets to Sign after so long)/Singapore Pastoral Institute and way (almost) West Church of Saint Mary of the Angels.

Due to the distance members of both 'bases' rarely meet up, except for huge occasions like Chinese New Year, Easter and Christmas parties. As times went by retreats were held.

21 Feb was of no exception. All of us gathered at the Church of Saint Mary of the Angels for Chinese New Year's celebration. It was great seeing everyone after quite some time with so much catching up to do. There was so much beef that Trix - one of the dogs in the Friary - would be jealous.

And this weekend both 'base' members will be having a Retreat together. May we have a wonderful-Spirit-filled time!

[Please spare the Parish/Assistant Priests and their office staff a break by checking with respective Churches' bulletins and/or websites for confirmation instead of calling them to ask unless it is not announced during last weekend's Masses, bulletins and/or websites ;) ]
